Privacy at Uncle Logic

Uncle Logic is operated by Artificial Luck LLC. This page describes the website, optional advertising, Lockstep, Lockstep Extreme, Snapline, Hidden Ladder, Crossed Wires, Orbit Lock and Uncle’s Light Sweep.

Your game stays in this browser

Lockstep stores puzzle progress, settings and game statistics in your browser’s local storage. The website also saves your light/dark theme choice. There are no accounts or cross-device saves. Clearing this site’s browser data removes its local saves; private browsing may keep them only temporarily.

Hidden Ladder saves puzzle progress and each date’s original result in this browser. Practice replays do not replace original scores.

Orbit Lock keeps its Best score, settings, Field Guide choice and active run in a separate local browser save. Its game notifications stay within this page; they are not uploaded or used as analytics.

Uncle’s Light Sweep stores Classic game statistics under a separate local browser save. Specialty play does not change those Classic statistics. Neither mode uploads gameplay or statistics to Uncle Logic.

Lockstep Extreme stores puzzle progress, settings and gameplay statistics in this browser.

Snapline stores its Daily puzzle progress, settings and display choices in this browser.

Crossed Wires stores puzzle progress and each date’s original result in this browser. Practice replays do not replace original results, and future puzzles unlock at your browser’s local midnight.

Anonymous gameplay analytics

Lockstep, Lockstep Extreme, Snapline, Hidden Ladder and Crossed Wires send approved anonymous gameplay events to Uncle Logic’s first-party analytics service. These events may include the game, game version, random browser-session identifier, event time, puzzle/date and gameplay measures such as moves, completion time, hints, undo and restart counts. We do not store names, email addresses, accounts, advertising identifiers, game saves, raw IP addresses or word guesses in this analytics datastore. Orbit Lock and Uncle’s Light Sweep do not currently send gameplay analytics.

Separate from the calibration beta

Production Lockstep does not upload your gameplay to the calibration beta database, share its tester identity, or use its email signup. The beta at dailylockstep.com is a separate service with its own privacy information.

Optional advertising and your choices

Monetag has asked us to temporarily test its direct In-Page Push tag on the homepage and Lockstep page to diagnose its installation check. During this vendor-authorized test, that tag runs without Uncle Logic’s usual advertising-consent gate. Lockstep Extreme, Hidden Ladder, Orbit Lock, Uncle’s Light Sweep, Games, Privacy and Support pages do not load the tag.

After you accept, Monetag and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies and process the page/referrer, IP address, approximate location, browser and operating-system information to serve and measure ads and help prevent fraud. See Monetag’s privacy policy for its processing, retention and privacy contacts.

Privacy choices remain available for the normal site advertising configuration, but they do not suppress this temporary direct-tag diagnostic. We do not create an account or send a consent preference to a consent database. Use your browser’s cookie controls and Monetag’s privacy contacts for provider data requests.

We do not add gameplay results or saves to advertising requests. Advertising is separate from game rewards: Google H5 and AdSense advertising, rewarded refills and Restart remain disabled. Ownership-verification meta tags and ads.txt do not themselves load advertisements. We have not added third-party gameplay analytics pixels or an email signup to this site.

Problem reports

If you send a problem report, we email your note, the page path, submission time and a broad browser/device label to our support inbox. No name or email is requested. Reports are not linked to game saves or the separate beta. We do not keep a feedback database. The email service and receiving inbox process the message for delivery and review; normal network metadata may be handled by those providers.

Hosting and security

Cloudflare delivers this website and its game files. In doing so, Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser information and requested URLs, for delivery and security. We have disabled stored application and request logs for this website’s Worker. Cloudflare may still process or retain operational and security information under its service policies; this page does not promise immediate erasure of that provider data.

Changes

If we change advertising providers or add accounts or other data collection, we will update this page and provide applicable choices before enabling them.
